About

I am a graduate student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, in the College of Education's Department of Education Policy, Organization, and Leadership.

Also, I am a trained archivist and librarian with a Master of Science in Library and Information Science from the iSchool at Illinois.

Currently, I am a pre-professional graduate assistant in the University Archives, working as a processing and reference archivist, as part of the American Library Association Archives. In 2020, I was nominated for the University Library's Outstanding Graduate Student of the Year Award.

In education, my primary research areas are the history of student life in U.S. public higher education and the history of co-curricular education of immigrant, international, and refugee students in the U.S.

In history, my primary research area is early twentieth century U.S. immigration history, with an emphasis on metropolitan Chicago.

In library science, my primary research areas are bibliography, instruction, outreach, and reference, in special collections, with an emphasis on archives and manuscript collections.

My broader interests are culture theory, Illinois history, immigration to the U.S. histories, and public higher education in the U.S.
